Lt Cdr Sonia Dahiya (Retd)

Co-Founder & Head – Logistics & Operations, Meghyra

A retired Naval Officer with over a decade of service to the nation, Lt Cdr Sonia Dahiya (Retd) brings the same discipline, precision, and sense of purpose to Meghyra that once defined her uniform.

During a trip to the tranquil hills and farms of Shillong, she witnessed the quiet strength of local farmers and the unmatched purity of the region’s natural produce. The experience left a lasting impression — one that grew into a mission: to connect the authenticity of Meghalaya’s soil with households that value quality, honesty, and sustainability.

Together with two like-minded individuals — a doctor and a professor — she co-founded Meghyra, uniting science, education, and service under a shared vision: to bring nature’s untouched goodness to the world while empowering the farmers who nurture it.

At Meghyra, Sonia leads logistics, import–export, and operations, ensuring every spice upholds the brand’s promise of transparency, traceability, and trust. Her leadership continues to shape Meghyra into not just a business, but a movement — one that celebrates Meghalaya’s raw luxury and India’s timeless connection to purity.

Dr. Nandita Lyngdoh

Director – Sourcing & Quality Assurance, Meghyra

Born and raised amidst the serene hills of West Jaintia Hills, Meghalaya, Dr. Nandita Lyngdoh is a medical doctor turned entrepreneur whose journey seamlessly bridges modern science and ancient purity.

After years of dedication, she earned her MBBS from one of India’s most respected medical institutions — an experience that shaped her belief that true wellness begins not only in hospitals but in every home, through what we consume and how we live. Her medical background gave her an exceptional understanding of how nature and nutrition together influence human health.

As the Director – Sourcing & Quality Assurance at Meghyra, Dr. Lyngdoh brings a rare blend of scientific precision and spiritual insight to the brand. She oversees the entire sourcing process — ensuring that every ingredient, from Lakadong turmeric to wild forest honey, is ethically harvested, meticulously tested, and preserved in its most potent and natural form. Her uncompromising focus on purity ensures that Meghyra’s products retain their nutritional integrity, authenticity, and healing properties.

Dr. Lyngdoh believes that “we are what we consume” — that true healing begins with what we put on our plates. For her, every spice and organic product is more than a commodity; it is a living expression of the land’s vitality.
